St George’s Church. Earliest founded Romanesque Prague church located on Hradčany. The church remained closed during much of the years during the middle period of the nineteenth century. However on two days a year, on the saint’s days of St Georgia and St Ludmila it was opened for services for their commemoration. Prager Morgenpost 16/9/1863 for example noted that from the 16th of September (the saint’s day of Ludmila) eight-days of services would be held, commencing with a mass at 6am on the morning of the 16th. Other events included a High Mass at 10am on the 16th at which Canon Bradač would pontificate, then a sermon and blessing would be given at 4pm. During the remainder of the eight days there would be a mass daily at 9am and a sermon at 5.30[pm].
