Moscheles, Ignaz (1794-1870). Czech pianist and composer. During his early studies in Prague he was pupil of Diviš [Dionys] Weber. Later travelled giving concerts in Germany and France, and England where he became a Professor at the Royal Academy of Music (1825-1846). Subsequently became Professor of pianoforte at the Leipzig Conservatoire.
