Friedrich August Kummer

Kummer, Friedrich August (1797-1879). German violoncellist, oboist and composer. Oboist in the court orchestra in Dresden (1814-1817) before becoming a ’cellist and later touring as a virtuoso. Composed many works for the violoncello.
