Heinrich Weidt
Weidt, Heinrich (1824-1901). German composer and conductor. His early career was passed as an actor in Hamburg before turning his hand to composition for the stage during the middle 1850s. He then proceeded on a career as a conductor, Kapellmeister and composer, working in multifarious locations including Budapest (1863-1866), Olomouc (1866-1867), Temeswar (1872), Troppau (1873-1887) and ended his life in Graz. In addition to a series of light operettas his compositonal output comprised mainly songs and choruses.
