Antonín Seifert
Seifert, Antonín (1826-1873). Czech military music director and composer. Early career as a flügelhorn player and then as music director of the orchestra of the 12th Infantry Regiment of the Archduke Wilhelm in Prague. Later active as military music director in the provinces, including in Olomouc (1862-1866) and Hradec Králové (1867-1869). A number of compositions enjoyed popular success in Prague dance entertainments of the late 1850s and in the 1860s.
