Hans Rokitansky

Rokitansky, Hans (1835-1909). Viennese bass singer, son of doctor from Hradec Králové. Member of the Vienna Court Opera from 1863-93. Appeared in a Czech rôle in the Provisional Theatre in January 1863. His biographical entry in ČSHS notes that he was regarded by the Czech public as a native singer, although his knowledge of the Czech language was limited.
