Woldemar Bargiel

Bargiel, Woldemar (1828-1897). German composer, pedagogue and conductor. Studied in Berlin under Dehn and later at the Leipzig Conservatoire. Subsequently he held teaching appointments in Berlin, Cologne and Amsterdam. His output as a composer comprises for the most part orchestral, chamber and piano works.
