Václav Ludvík

Ludwig, Wenzel (1837-c.1890). Czech military music conductor, composer and oboist. Brother of oboist Johann Ludwig [Jan Ludvík]. He studied oboe at the Prague Conservatory (1852-1858), after which he occupied various conducting posts including in Insbruck and in Verona, returning to the Czech lands later in life.
