Petr Maydl

Maydl, Petr (c.1820-1896). Czech pianist and pedagogue. Studied piano at the music institute of Josef Jiránek. He opened his own successful music school in 1853 and attempted to found a Prague Society for the Promotion of Piano Music [Jednota k povznešení klavírní hudby] in 1862.
