Wenzel Friedrich

Smita, Václav Bedřich (1822-1908). Czech trombonist, pianist and composer. Studied at the Prague Conservatory (1834-1840). Member of orchestra of Estates Theatre from 1841 until 1867, after which he became Professor of trombone at the Conservatory. Compositions include various works for the trombone, including concertante pieces.
