Elias Parish-Alvars

Parish-Alvars, Elias (1808-1849). English harpist and composer. Toured extensively in Europe from the early 1830s, eventually settling in Vienna (1847).  Recognized as the foremost harp virtuoso of the nineteenth century. Many compositions and arrangements of works for the instrument.
