Commentary:

Prager Morgenpost 7/12/1858 published a report that following the considerable success of his earlier concert in the Estates Theatre, the ‘very talented’ Treiber had received the honourable distinction of being granted a performance before the Emperor Ferdinand in the Castle [Hradčany]. The works he performed were listed and the report noted that the young pianist was praised and that his playing was considered completely satisfactory. The text announced that tomorrow Treiber would leave for Brünn [Brno], where he would play in the local theatre. In the Lenten season it was noted that he would again visit Prague and give a concert. However, Treiber’s next Prague performance did not take place until 5/3/1860.
