Details of this ‘Great Festival’ appeared in the advertisment published by Prager Morgenpost 3/10/1858. The event was reported as being given as part of the Nameday festival of the Emperor and commenced at 8pm with the performance of the Volkshymne, the Austrian national anthem. The production included continuous [‘durchgehends’] performances of unspecified opera arias ‘with musical [i.e. with an ensemble] accompaniment.’ The advertisement was posted by Nowotny [Novotný], ‘court singer of Ispahan’.
