Commentary:

On 11/11/1858 the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph arrived in Prague on a ten day visit. During this time a court concert was held in the chambers of the former Emperor Ferdinand (abdicated 1848) his wife the Empress Marie Anna. These were located in Prague Castle on Hradčany. During their stay the activities of Franz Josef and the Imperial family were reported upon daily by Lumír. However, no further details were given by the Lumír source about this particular event. The Czech virtuoso Alexander Dreyschock was at this time engaged as official pianist to the Imperial court.
