Mercy’s Anzeiger 21/2/1857 reported that a ball was to be given by the Governor Count Clam-Gallas on 26th February. However, Mercy’s Anzeiger 24/2/1857 reported that this ball took place on 23nd February. No details were given about the content or character of the event. The later date noted by the earlier source was undoubtedly an error; 26th February fell in Lent when such dance entertainments did not take place.
