Der Tagesbote 1/11/1854 published an unsigned review of this event, reporting that ‘In the Hotel at the Black Horse was celebrated a glorious festival. The most excellent local artists (Dreyschock, Kittl, Schulhof [Schulhoff], Mar, Haushofer and others of high renown) had got together, a worthy gathering of artists to pay hommage to the well-known composer of expressive songs Countess Elise Schlick [Šliková]. The Countess was immediately greeted upon her arrival with the honour of a quartet composed by Kittle [Kittl]. After the following dinner Miss Lechner declaimed a poem by Alfred Meißner. ... At the end of the poem Miss Lechner presented the Countess with a laurel wreath. There then followed a toast to the celebrated lady who was ... presented with a lithograph portrait.’ The reason for this event in honour of the Countess was not related by the source.
