Tagesbote aus Böhmen 31/1/1857 published a review signed ‘Egs.’ of this event, noting ‘Wednesday 28th January the members of the Artistic-Typographic Institute of C. Bellmann gathered for a Festival Ball in the Hall of the Hotel Archduke Stefan, and comprised a very felicitous and elegant society from the most beautiful circles of our city. Only in the earliest hours of the morning did the numerous company dissipate fully satisfied, and we cannot help but mention the tasteful arrangements [of the event], as well as the well-staffed orchestra of the Ensemble of the worthy Royal Infantry Regiment Baron Wernhardt, under the personal direction of their Kapellmeister Mr Jeschko.’
