Commentary:

News of this event was published by Prager Morgenpost 18/12/1863. A brief report noted that not only were members being permitted to take their spouses to Casino evenings on which the orchestra of Karel Komzák was performing, but that a further ‘Ladies evening’ [Damenabend] would be held on Monday 21st December. In order to avoid large crowds, the decision had been taken to limit admission ticket numbers to 200. The source also related that in a further concession to the ladies, ‘the pleasures of smoking’ would be taken away.

This event was rescheduled from the 21st December. Prager Morgenpost 20/12/1863 reported that the evening had had to be postponed and would take place no later than the beginning of the following month. The specific reason for the postponement was not specified.
