Franz Xaver Pecháček

Pecháček, Franz Xaver (1793-1840). Violinist and composer, from 1809-1822 violinist at the Theater an der Wien, then later employed in the court orchestras of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. Compositions include many works for violin. Lumír 20/7/1854 described him in a brief biographical note that ‘Pecháček from Ústí nad Orlicí b.1763, some time Kapellmeister at the Theatre in Landstrasse in Vienna, he composed 2 operas, 10 operettas, 12 symphonies, 30 ballets etc.’
