Luigi Venzano

Venzano, Luigi (1814-1878). Italian violoncellist, composer and music teacher. Performed in the orchestra of the Theatre Carlo Felice. Composed works for violoncello and also a body of vocal and operatic works. His aria [?] ‘Ah! che assorta in dolce incanto’ became enormously popular throughout Europe and was utilized as a theme for variations many other composers.
