Guglielmi, A.M. Baritone singer. Appearing in concert in Prague in 1854 and described by the newspaper Der Tagesbote 3/11/1854 as ‘newly engaged member of the Royal Court Opera [in Vienna]’. Mercy’s Anzeiger 24/10/1854 published news that ‘As we have heard from a reliable source, the here-present singer Mr A.M. Giuglielmi [the newspaper in subsequent reports and notices gave ‘Guglielmi’] from Naples gave in a private social Matinée [in einer im vornehmen Kreise gegebenen Matinée] a performance that was brilliant proof of his artistry. He gave with a sonorous, smooth yet also fresh and powerful baritone voice some Schubert Lieder, then Italian cantilenas with understanding and heartfelt expression.’
