Lefébure-Wély, Louis James Alfred (1817-1879). French organist and composer. Infant prodigy, studied at the Paris Conservatoire. Organist of the Madeleine (1847-1858) and from 1863 of Saint-Sulpice. Compositions include an opera, large quantity of church music and organ works as well as piano music.
