News of this event was published in an advertisement appearing in Mercy’s Anzeiger 20/3/1857 and repeated in that newspaper the following two days. The source reported:

Expedition
under the title
Signal
FROM THE MUSIC-WORLD,
at which for the first time the clarinet virtuoso Mr Joh.
Fischer and the
great Orchestra
of the Sharpshooters-Kapellmeister Mr
K. Komsak
will participate.’

The source then went on to list some of the works to be performed, noted that the event would commence at 7 o’clock and finish at midnight, and that advance tickets could be obtained for 10kr from the art- and music-seller Robert Veit. No further details were given by the advertisement. On 22/3/1857 the Vergnügungsanzeiger published in this newspaper noted ‘Today Sunday... Konvikt Hall: Garland [Kränzchen].’
