No further details of the musical content of the evening were published by the specified Národní listy reports. The unsigned review that was published by Národní listy 28/11/1861 asserted that ‘Concerning the organisation and execution [of the entertainment] it is possible to divulge that on the whole it went quite well.’ However, ‘we were put out by the unusually poor attendance; in particular there were few ladies, which we attribute to there not being any dancing (why, it is Advent [season]!). Unfortunately, to a great extent among our fair sex... national sentiment does not extend any further than to dancing with some dashing young man in a braided jacket.’

Čas 29/11/1861 published an unsigned review of this event, the correspondent noting that ‘The first Přerhof humorous beseda which took place the day before yesterday in the Konvikt Hall did not enjoy a good attendance, as certainly merited other undertakings of this type. The programme of the entertainment was quite varied, especially in the declamations there was a substantial improvement, yet we would wish that humour was present in the musical part...’ The correspondent hoped that the arranger of the entertainments would improve the content of the programmes in future events. Messrs Přerhof, Bráva and Tausik and Miss Hofrichtrová ained the applause of the audience. Přerhof’s speech, given after the opening chorus gained particular approbation.
