An advertisment was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 18/1/1857 announcing that ‘In P. Lederer’s Beer Hall takes place Monday and Wednesday a Dance entertainment.’ The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 19/1/1857 contained two references to this venue, ‘Today Monday... Lederer’s Beer Hall: Grenadier-Music’ and ‘Lederer’s Beer Hall: Dance entertainment.’ This same issue of the newspaper also published two simple advertisements. The first noted that ‘In P. Lederer’s Beer Hall takes place on Monday and Wednesday a Dance entertainment [Tanzunterhaltung].’; the second announced ‘Despatch from P. Lederer’s Beer Hall. Today Dance entertainment [Tanzunterhaltung]. Until 12 midnight. Admission 12kr.’ No further details were given by these sources. The two almanac references and two advertisments certainly related to the same event.
