Mercy’s Anzeiger 7/6/1854 published a detailed account of the visit of Franz Joseph and the Empress Elizabeth to Karlín on 6th June during their stay in Prague. At the end of the visit on Invalidenplatz [Invalidovna] was a parade of troops. Four unspecified musical ensembles [probably military bands] played the national anthem. The military regiments participating in the parade comprised the Schwadron-Windischgrätz Dragoons, 24th Rifles Battalion, 4th Battailon of the Infantry Regiment of Prince Jablonowsky, 4th Battalion of the Infantry Regiment of Prince Wasa, 1st Battalion of the Infantry Regiment Benedek, 4th Battalion of the Infantry Regiment of Archduke Albrecht, 2nd Company of Engineers, various artillery companies, and two divisions of Bavarian Dragoons.
