Commentary:

The Lokalzeitung of Bohemia 3/6/1851 published news of the arrival in Prague by train of the young Austrian Emperor, Franz Joseph. At 6am state, military and city officials had gathered at the station and a military music ensemble paraded in the arrival hall. The Emperor arrived at 6.45 accompanied by amongst others the Archduke Albrecht, the Duke of Hessen-Darmstadt, Prince Albert of Saxony and Count Schwarzenberg. Franz Joseph left Prague for Vienna by private train the following day.
