• First Salon Orchestra of Komzák: participating orchestra

The Prager Morgenpost 10/10/1858 advertisement, posted by Johann Buresch [Jan Bureš], noted simply ‘Old-Town Coffee-salon. Today Komsak’s I. Salon orchestra.’ The Bohemia 10/10/1858 Tageskalender as usual did not specify which of Komzák’s ensembles was performing at this event. On 10th October this Tageskalender did record the participation of unspecified Komzák ensembles at no less than three other venues. The issue of Prager Morgenpost 10/10/1858 contained a second advertisement recording the appearance of the Komzák’s ‘String Orchestra’ under his personal direction in another restaurant venue, the newly opened Restaurant on the Bastion by the Station, an event that was not noted in the Bohemia Tageskalender.
