The pioneering Czech writer and poet Václav Kliment Klicpera died on 15/9/1859. The work by Josef Krejčí was most likely his unpublished Pohřební píseň ‘Již odešla duše útlá’ [Funeral ode ‘Already the fragile spirit has departed’].
