Commentary:

The pioneering Czech writer and poet Václav Kliment Klicpera died on 15/9/1859. The work by Josef Krejčí was most likely his unpublished Pohřební píseň ‘Již odešla duše útlá’ [Funeral ode ‘Already the fragile spirit has departed’]. Bohemia 19/09/1859 published news of this event at the end of its review of the previous day’s funeral ceremony.
