Julius Schulhoff

Schulhoff, Julius (1825-1899). Prague-born pianist and composer. He studied in Prague before touring Europe as a virtuoso at an early age. During his life he resided at various times in Paris, Dresden and Berlin. His appearances in Prague were enthusiastically received by Prague correspondents. Tagesbote aus Böhmen 7/1/1857 reported that Schulhoff was then in Dresden, on his return to Paris from a winter tour.
