Blažková, Věkoslava Aloisie (1841-1873). Czech soprano singer, daughter of the pedagogue František Blažek. Pupil of the Žofín Academy; entered the Concert School of the Prague Conservatory in 1857 and a year later was admitted to the Opera School. She appeared in Prague concerts during the 1850s and early 1860s, and made her first appearance in an opera rôle in 1861. In May 1862 she travelled to Berlin where she was successfully trialed for the Court Theatre there. During the following six years she performed in various theatres in Germany, before returning to Prague in 1868 to join the ensemble of the Czech Provisional Theatre. In 1863 she did appear in the Prague German Estates Theatre as Agatha in Der Freischütz.
