Fischerová z Tiefensee, Charlotta (c.1831-?). Czech mezzosoprano. Studied piano at the institute of Josef Proksch. In 1847 studied briefly at the Conservatoire in Milan, then the following year moved to Venice and then to Trieste where she was taught by the Ricci brothers. She then began to tour Europe, gaining enormous success and performing at many of the leading opera and concert houses. She appeared in Paris (where she studied further with Henriette Sonntag and Bordogni), and London in 1851 (there under the pseudonym Pescatori according to reports published in Prague newspapers in late January 1854), and Vienna in 1853. She returned briefly to Prague in 1854 before singing in Switzerland, then again in Paris, and in many German cities as well as in the Netherlands. In 1857 and into 1858 she ventured eastwards, to Latvia, Russia and back through Poland. After appearing once again in Prague in 1859 she made a second trip to London, singing at Convent Garden and then in Brighton (23/11/1860), before travelling back to Germany.
